Two Deals at Albertson's

I'm busy packing for a few days in San Diego, but I ran into Albertson's to get out of the house.

Right now they have a 5-pack of Kraft Mac and Cheese on an endcap, it's $6.29, but you buy one and get one free. On both there is peel-off coupon for a free Capri-Sun Sunrise. Then I got a surprise at the register. It printed out a $2 coupon for my next purchase for buying 6 or more Kraft Mac and Cheese. You can only get the coupon through May 31st. So I got 10 Mac&Cheese and two CapriSuns for $4.29 if you count the coupon.

I also love V-8 Fusion. It's on sale 2 for $4 (Limit 2. Bummer!). Then thanks to my lovely boys who always find the coupon dispensers on the aisles, there is a coupon for $1 off 2 V-8 Fusions. I guess it does pay to shop with the kids.

Free Music

How many of you like to listen to music while you are surfing the web, paying bills, or just working on something on the computer? One of my loves in life is music and I listen every chance to get. My friend introduced me to a fabulous new site the other day, All you do is type in your genre of music or even an artist you like and it makes you a radio station based on the music you like. The best thing is that it is FREE! I was so excited when I typed in American Idol Finalists and it played Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and David Cook! That is just one example, the possibilities are endless. So whatever you like try it out, I bet you will love it too!

I can't believe it, I finally got an Old Navy Coupon. Go HERE and she tells you exactly how. Thanks to Bargain Mom for her hard work. The best ones are gone, but I got a 25% off.

Target Problems

Hopefully those of you who are trying to stack coupons at Target have not run into problems. Here is an interesting post you should read if you are a Target shopper. I have had problems using both and MC and a Target Coupon, but have never been escorted out of the store. You might want to be aware of these issues though if you are a frequent Target shopper. Go HERE to read an appalling account of shopping with coupons at Target.

Rebate Checks

Rebates do Work!

Due to past experiences with rebates I was very skeptical to even try them again. You know the drill, fill out the paperwork, send in the original receipt, send in UPC codes, send this, send that and then you get a notification that you didn't so something correctly or didn't send something they asked you to in the fine print. I haven't done rebates for SO long. Then when I started shopping at these drugstores I thought I would give it a try again. Walgreens ended their Easy Saver Rebate program unfortunately, but Rite Aid still has theirs going. I was also very nervous to spend $70 upfront for the Staples paper and wait for a $60 return. They followed through though, no problems. I also received a $5 check from filling out a survey after I purchased a Digiorno flatbread melt. They had blinkies at Albertsons making one $1.50 so I decided to try one. At the register out popped a paper to fill out a survey for $5. I made $3.50 on the deal. Keep your eyes peeled for things like this when your receipt pops out. Sometimes you will be surprised!

Target Coupons

I did a little ground work with Target this morning. You all are probably going to read this and think I am crazy. I want to continue using coupons at Target and not have problems every time I go so hopefully I can help fix this problem there. I called Target corporate this morning and asked them the policy for a Target coupon that won't scan. They said that the cashier needs to try and enter the coupon manually. My cashier yesterday would not do that and handed me the coupon back and was not happy when I told her I didn't want the items if I could not use the coupon. I was pleasant and did not make a fuss which is really what you have to do when it doesn't work out with your coupons.

After talking to the corporate office this morning I called our Menifee Target and talked to the manager. I told him that I had come up again argument almost everytime I tried to use a Target coupon and a Manufacturer's coupon for one item at his store. I told him that I had emailed Target and have the policy in writing and that I had spoken with them today and that this policy is indeed real. He said that he did not know you could do this and that he would check into it as well and try and make sure the cashier's know this. I then told him that my cashier yesterday would not manually enter my Target coupon and he told me that they are supposed to do it this way if they will not scan. He said he would try and fix these situations. Hopefully these phone calls will help us out with the cashier's a little bit. Maybe I am the only one trying to do this there, but hopefully if you are trying without success also this will help. It seems like no big deal until you are standing in line with a cashier who doesn't know the rules and fighting with 3 kids at the same time :)

Target Coupons

Target Printable Coupons
Hey gals. I went out on an adventure to Target tonight with no kids. It's SO much calmer by yourself when you can actually calculate and figure out your deals. I figure things out before I leave, but often the prices at Target are different than a lot of the gals have posted on their sites. Most times other areas have lower prices than we do, that's a bummer. I did find get Ritz crackers for $.99, a box of the 100 calorie pack snacks for free, 4 Barbecue sauces for free, the individual easy mac for $.27 each. (Check the link in the Kraft coupon post below to find out how I did it. She has the coupons to use listed and how to get them.) Here is the sad part of my trip. Here I have NO kids and I am enjoying my shopping and...some of my Target coupons refused to scan. No matter what the gal did they just would not beep. So I had her take off those items. (The smartfood popcorn, Ranch dressing, and one of the 100 calorie packs, darnit.) She said that they cannot punch in the numbers on the printables that they have to scan. The other day a lady did punch them in for me so I do not know the real policy. I emailed Target and hopefully they will tell me what their policy is on this. I don't understand how some of my Target printables scanned and others did not. I printed them all today with a new ink cartridge. I printed out the ones that didn't work in color tonight and will make it back to try again later this week. I was planning on trying again anyway because the snack pack boxes were pretty much cleaned out. I wanted to see if they will restock them. Some of the items that do not match up with some of the posts we have read were the Ranch dressing, the Crystal Light and the Ritz Crackers. The regular size Ranch was $2.29, not $1.59 as posted (there is a smaller one for $1.79 though), the Ritz Crackers are $2.99, not $2.04 and the Crystal Lights were $3.99, not $2.99. Hopefully this information helps you if you are planning a trip out for the sale items at Target this week. In the end I got 2 boxes of Ritz, 8 single packs of Easy Mac, 1 100 calorie box, Quaker True Delight Granola Bars, 4 Kraft BBQ sauce, 2 Kraft Shredded Cheese, and 2 Beef Jerky for $11.00. Would have been $4.50, but my husband insisted on Jerky for the Father son outing.

10 cent bottled water

A friend told me about a bottled water deal at Smart and Final this week (Friday-Sunday). She said that it only happens once a year and she stocks up. The 35 pack Crystal Geyser water is 2/$7 right now. Don't forget about the CRV, sometimes that extra throws me off.

Kraft Coupon Event

Somehow I missed the Kraft printable coupon event that people started talking about last week. For more information on this click HERE. They are saying that you need to hurry and print what you want because they are going to reach their limit soon. I don't know how all that works, but I printed mine just in case they do reach their max. You can only print 2 coupons from each site. I was able to print 2 from the kraft foods site and 2 from
She also has a post on how to match them up with Target printable coupons and get items for free. There are also items that you can get for $1 with some of these coupons, but I know that Albertsons often has Kraft promotions where you can get Catalina's for buying a certain amount of Kraft items. I am going to save some of mine and see if they run any of those promotions soon. Don't take my word for it though if you need these Kraft items that have the coupons you have to decide if you want to use them now or take a chance on a deal down the road. The best deal is the Ranch Dressing. If our Target has the dressing for $1.59 as other bloggers are listing, you probably won't beat $.09. Happy Kraft shopping.

Old Navy Coupon

Hey girls!

If you are planning on buying a few things for the summer from Old Navy check out Click around until you find a decent coupon...only one per week so don't accept it until you are happy with the one you got! I just found it and they didn't have very many good ones left, at the top it has a scrolling bar that says what coupons are left. I got one for 15% off my purchase, not terrible, but they did have some that were $60 or $45 off if you spend a $100! I'm not sure when they add more probably the beginning of the week so maybe check back in a few days... Good Luck!

Walgreens Cashier

I had a FANTASTIC experience at the Newport Walgreens today!! I have not had a bad experience yet, but today was the best. I met a cashier named Melissa who is a fellow couponer and she knows the Register Rewards Rules!! All of them. She knows about the fillers and that another RR will print if you use an RR to pay for the item. I used an RR that she said must have been tied to what I was buying because the $5 RR that was supposed to print out did not. She took all the items back and did a return and ran another one of my $5 RR's through and it worked. I felt like I had won the couponer's lottery finding a cashier that knows the system that I am trying to learn, yay!!! And, she was so patient with me. I gave her our blog so that she could read it and the others that are linked to us. Hopefully it will help her out. So if you are trying to learn the system and need a patient cashier just look for Melissa at the register in the make-up department.-Amber
