Target Deals

Go on over to www.hip2save.com and click on Target on the righthand side of her blog. I took advantage of the Del Monte Vegetable deal and the I Can't Believe it's not Butter deal this week. Our Target has the butter for $1.87 on sale so with the coupons she has listed I got it for $.12 a tub!! Vegetables for $.20 if you have the Manufacturers coupon, but even if you don't you can get 6 for$1.70 with the Target coupon. That's 28 cents a can!!! Stock up for food storage or send it to your kids' schools for food drives. She also has a scenario to get Ritz crackers for $.50 a box!!

Target has a new coupon system. You can now only print 2 Target coupons from your computer. No printing at the Kiosk in the store anymore. People with Windows 7 are having difficulty downloading the program you need to print them. I hear if you download Firefox browser you will be able to download and print.

Ordering Multiple Newspapers

I think I FINALLY might have multiple papers delivered to my door on Sundays. LA times called me to see if I would give them another chance (my delivery person was not delivering half the time). I told them if I could get 4 papers on Sundays then I would. The man told me I needed to get my paper the first week and then call and order the other 3 that I want. Why 3? Because when items go on sale then you will have more coupons and you can stock up at rock bottom prices.
I called this morning and told circulation what I wanted and they put me through to "specialty ordering." She added 3 papers to my Sunday delivery. I am nervous, we will see what happens. If my delivery person was having difficulty delivering 1 I bet 4 will completely confuse them. I will let you know how it works out.
The LA times was $39.00 a year making it $.75 a week. This is a great deal because you pay $1.50 at the newstand. I was paying $24.00 a month just on the times going to the newsstand. It was still worth it because I am saving a bundle the way I shop, but by ordering multiples to my door I will cut that in half. So yes, upfront I will pay $156.00 for the year, but in cutting my "paper bill" in half and saving what I do every time I go shopping it will be well worth it.
Why the LA times instead of the Press? There are always a few more high value coupons in LA than the Press. Yes, the coupon booklets look the same, but there are differences. A good example is the Welch's $1.50 off coupon in the Times. It was not in the Press this week. The bummer about the Times is that you do not receive most of the ads such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Walgreens, etc. So if you want to price match you have to go to the store and grab their ad for the week. They also do not carry Michael's and Joanns coupons.

One of the gals mentioned to me today that both of our Targets are out of Monsters Inc. This is not terrible news though because you still can get a great deal on Up without Price matching. Make sure it is still ringing up at $19.99 and use your $10.00 off coupons for $9.99. Then you can check out the 3 rebates for buying other products and sending them in with your Up receipt here. Just depends on how much work you want to do. If you do the 2 $5 ones you will score UP for FREE!! The Kernel's popcorn seasoning and Ronzoni pasta often have good coupons so keep your eyes out for those and a sale to price match them with!!
Yet another great post from www.hip2save.blogspot.com

Alright, here's a quick update to the Target price match deal scenario I posted below. There have been quite a lot of questions regarding being able to use a Target coupon on a price match item. Well, according to reader, Nicole , this can be done. She emailed Target corporate directly about this issue and this was their reply back:

Thanks for taking the time to ask us about using coupons with the Low Price Promise.

We do accept the manufacturer and Target coupon to be used with the Low Price Promise Ad Match for a further price reduction. The coupon would need to be presented at time of check out at the register/POS and not given at the Guest Service counter.

We look forward to showing you what's new at Target.

She also converted the email above it to a PDF file here. I would suggest printing this off and bringing it with you every time you shop at Target. This should come in hand if you have issues price matching and using a Target and/or manufacturer coupon.
Thanks to www.hip2save.blogspot.com for all the matching deals I have posted lately. I just copied and pasted and forgot to give her the credit. We appreciate all she does for everyone.
